Old Testament Survey
The KVC is spending the summer in the deep end of the Bible as we focus our attention on the Old Testament! Reading the Old Testament can be a little confusing, bewildering or even frightening at times if we do not learn how to read it. To that end we have devoted our whole summer to unraveling this beautiful part of God's Word.
On Sundays, we are preaching through the book of Genesis and learning about God's amazing beginnings and the heroes of the faith that he worked through. (Click here for sermon audio)
On Wednesdays, the church is studying an Old Testament Survey to familiarize itself with the Old Testament. We are studying Christ in the Old Testament, Old Testament History, Geography and how to read the different types of literature that compose the Old Testament. We are memorizing Scriptures, learning key dates, people and locations to help us understand the flow and meaning of the Old Testament. We're even going to take tests! Our goal is to equip us to fulfill Romans 15:4 as we all learn how to embrace God's Word in our lives!
